TITLE: DIRECTOR OF PLANT MAINTENANCE AND RELIABILITY
LOCATION: ARVIN, CA
COMPENSATION: $150,000 - $175,000 / YEAR
PURPOSE:
Provide management, direction, and oversight responsibilities for all plant maintenance functions and activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide leadership and management for the overall maintenance team in areas such as safety, planning, TPM/reliability, cost, labor utilization, and efficiency.
- Develop and implement the overall plant’s preventative and predictive maintenance programs while implementing reliability best practices to ensure dependability and machine efficiency.
- Direct responsibility for managing departmental budget. Champion the creation of departmental goals thru the development of KPIs while using Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Work with Operations to create capex budget and conduct regular financial review for department.
- Analyze processes and performance gaps to guide resources that resolve manufacturing, and maintenance inefficiencies to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays.
- Initiate corrective/preventive and continuous improvement actions and actively participate in developing, implementing, and verifying corrective/improvement opportunities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office and in food processing facilities. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to visually inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as 20° F to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area.
PURPOSE:
To clean and sanitize harvesting equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform all functions of a sanitation employee.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Wash down equipment using hoses, brushes and shovels.
- Apply proper cleaning chemical to appropriate surfaces and equipment.
- Perform general clean-up of facility and grounds.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by lead or supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to move about inside food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or on elevated platforms). Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level and on uneven surfaces. Ability to inspect equipment and product before QA pre Op inspections. Ability to use required chemicals as indicated in the work instructions. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 115° F and as cold as -30° F to 25° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 75 lbs.
