  • Overview



    Provide key support to the Payroll Department and Payroll Manager; including Federal/State payroll tax filing oversight, EDD reporting, deduction reconciliation oversight, 401k contribution administration, year-end reconciliation and mandated employee reporting, and labor expense reporting to divisions and managers.




    • Supervision of Payroll Department, managing staff and workloads.
    • Gather and collate necessary data for submission of required reports.
    • Prepare reports as required throughout divisions and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
    • Coordinate computer system implementations and upgrades.
    • Perform research as required to stay current with all applicable laws.
    • Other areas of responsibility include weekly creation of contract labor invoices, weekly download of payroll information to accounting Epicor system, administration of retirement plan contributions, garnishment withholding and reporting, filing of all payroll tax returns, reconciliation of payroll deduction G/L accounts.
    • Other duties as assigned.




    Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, climbing stairways, walking and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, crawling, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward, reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning.

    Additional Info



    • Minimum seven (7) years previous payroll experience required.
    • Must possess knowledge of general accounting practices, Payroll Tax filing, Federal and State Wage & Hour Laws. Must be computer literate in Windows based applications.
    • Ten Key by touch and Data Entry accuracy required.
    • Must be dependable, organized and able to work under pressure.
    • Must maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Some overtime may be required.
    • Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
    • Must have a valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record and have own transportation with acceptable insurance.
    • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background check.
