  • Overview


    Perform fabrication, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical tasks on various types of harvesting equipment.


    Must have the ability to perform p/m services, misc. mechanical and electrical repairs, and hydraulic repairs & installations, and metal fabrication tasks on harvest equipment. Assist co-workers in the shop and in the field. Maintain a safe and clean work space at all times. Must follow directions from Supervisor. Support the shop 5S initiatives. Must follow all required safety procedures and guidelines. Lead by example the Division's Mission, Strategy, and Values


    Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, climbing stairways, walking and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, crawling, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward,  reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

    Additional Info


    • Must have or be able to acquire a Fork Lift Certification
    • Must have a mechanical aptitude and knowledge in the proper use of hand, pneumatic, and electric power tools
    • Must have a good understanding of hydraulic component installation and replacement
    • Must have experience working with 12V electrical systems, components, and installations.
    • Must have at least one year of Welder I experience
    • Must have three years of experience in a metal working trade
    • Must have the ability to fabricate and assemble equipment using a combination of machinery and tools in the shop and field
    • Must have the ability to read and understand blue prints.
    • Must have good mathematical skills.
    • Know and follow prescribed shop safety regulations and procedures.
    • Must have a valid California driver's license with a clean OMV driving record and have own transportation with acceptable insurance.
    • Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
    • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
