Overview

PURPOSE:


Responsible for monitoring appointments scheduled by our appointment coordinating team and making sure product is being shipped on a timely manner. Responsible for setting appointments with our co-pack customers and coordinating with their customer  transportation team. Performing heavy phone and computer work.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Answer heavy telephone calls.
  • Review appointments with the production team to make sure customers are scheduled accordingly. Learn all products packed at Lake Park location.
  • Relay necessary information to sales, production, and shipping staff.
  • Must work and understand warehouse inventories, production scheduler reports and other information necessary.
  • Must work closely with all shipping/production departments to prioritize appointments.
  • Perform other functions as instructed by Assistant Shipping Manager and/or Shipping Supervisor.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the work day. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office and food processing facilities. Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be familiar with all shipping and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of company database, GIS a plus. Must have the ability to learn and master program.
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word,
    Outlook, and Excel.
  • Requires excellent people skills, a congenial attitude, and a professional appearance for regular interaction with employees, customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be well organized, efficient, and reliable with good attendance.
  • Must have good communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen.
