TITLE:                          HARVES SUPPORT 3 (Harvester Operator)

LOCATION:                  HARVESTING SITE

COMPENSATION:       $17.50 / HOUR

PURPOSE:

Drive Harvester

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

Must be able to perform all functions of a Harvesting employee. Travel to different fields. Assemble various mechanical components for harvesting equipment including belt rollers, bearing, motors, sprockets, chain, guards and beltings. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Maintain harvester equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other duties as required or directed by supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to operate hand and power tools, working on equipment that is elevated or low to the ground. Ability to get on and off various stationary and moving equipment. Ability to continuously work outdoors all day in various and sometimes extreme weather conditions. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to work on and build equipment. Ability to inspect equipment. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 80 lbs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have 2 years experience with carrot harvester and farm equipment.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
• Must have the ability to travel as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
