What you will need:

 

  • Five to seven years of mechanic experience. 
  • Must be skilled in all manner of machine/equipment repair, to include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, troubleshooting.  
  • Must be able to perform preventative and routine maintenance or learn quickly for a wide variety of machinery or equipment.  
  • Able to drain and replace fluids, grease parts, and adjust/replace parts such as starters, batteries, etc. While major rebuilds of things like engines and transmissions are generally handled by outside third-party providers, this position should be able to diagnose and recommend what is needed.  
  • Skilled at a variety of hand and power tools, meters, diagnostic tools, etc.  
  • Ability to remove defective parts by dismantling equipment/machinery; using hoists, cranes and hand/power tools.  
  • Skilled at examining form and texture of parts to determine ware.  
  • Skilled in operating in a collaborative manner with a team attitude, while executing sound judgement and professionalism with farm managers and various farm personnel.  
  • Many specialized and common tools are supplied however, mechanics applying for this position should have many of their own tools.   
  • Must have the ability to be flexible and operate under stressful situations, have initiative and be results driven in-order to prevent down time for the agriculture team.  
  • Remote work not available for this position.  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record. Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical, and functional capacity exam.  

 

What will set you apart:

  • Farm machinery/equipment experience.
