EQUIPMENT MECHANIC I

 

JOB LOCATION:                       AGRO SHOP, ARVIN, CA.

 

SHIFT:                                        DAY (Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-5:00 PM, Saturday 6:30 AM- 11:30PM)  On call when needed

 

REPORTS TO:                          AGRO SHOP SUPERVISOR

What You Will Need:

  • Ability to acquire a Forklift Certification.
  • 2 years’ experience working in an equipment repair facility or completed a training program that can substitute work experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge in the proper use of hand, pneumatic and electric power tools, commonly used in a shop environment, required.
  • Ability to successfully perform entry level repairs in the following areas.
    • 12V & 24V electrical system
    • Routine preventative maintenance procedures and services
    • R134a air conditioning systems
    • R&R hydraulic systems components (Basic hydraulic system knowledge is a plus)
    • Charging systems and high-pressure fuel systems
    • Cooling system repairs
    • DTC diagnostics (entry level experience)
    • Basic welding repairs
  • Ability to interpret repair manual procedures and hydraulic and electrical schematics,
  • Understand and follow prescribed shop and field safety regulations and procedures.
  • Capable of working with minimum supervision. Must have strong decision-making skills that promote safe working conditions, timely/efficient repairs, and accurate accounting of labor and materials.
  • Computer literate to foster clear communication with coworkers, supervisors, and outside vendors over various forms of technology.
  • Available to be on-call and work weekends and after hours.
  • Ability to travel to facility and field locations on an as-needed basis.
  • Ability to properly manage and maintain assigned shop tools and equipment
  • A valid Driver’s License with a clean DMV driving.
  • Ability to read, write and understand information in English.
  • Pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.

 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Previous experience in performing all levels of PM service procedures.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish.
