What You Will Need:

  • Must have a Forklift Certification.
  • Must have trailer mechanic experience.
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
  • Must be able to operate oxy acetylene torch.
  • Must be able to weld Arc, Mig and Aluminum.
  • Must be able to work around paint, freon, and various oils.
  • Must be capable of properly using various tools including chop saws, grinders, impact wrenches, circular saws, paint brushes, paint rollers, mechanic hand tools, tire irons, tape measures and others. 
  • Must be able to read and understand written information in English.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
  • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Tig welding is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Perform all types of heavy line trailer fabrication, service and repairs. Work on heavy equipment. Mount and dismount tires using large hammer bars and heavy impact wrenches. Replace brakes and brake system components. If applicable, must keep hair and any mustache worn, trimmed above lip. Beards are not allowed for this position. Replace all suspension components when necessary. Replace all electrical components associated with the trailers when necessary. Paint equipment and work in confined areas.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work on and build equipment. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to work outdoors. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 100 lbs.
