  • Overview



    Position is primarily responsible for working with Project Managers to produce 2D/3D AutoCAD drafting of equipment/machinery layout design for Construction Division projects. Secondarily can produce detailed drawing packages for fabrication. May also take lead Designer role working with other Drafters throughout the length of one or multiple projects.




    • Provide design support for multiple projects to engineering staff as directed by Drafting Supervisor.
    • Work closely with Project Managers/Engineers to provide drafting/design support for Division work.
    • Provide as-builds of equipment/machinery as required.
    • Provide detailed fabrication packages for designs as required.
    • Must be a team player, able to work with multiple departments and personnel to achieve accurate quality designs in the required timeline to meet project deadlines.




    Continuos use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing, working with a computer keyboard and mouse in front of a computer monitor for long periods of time. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, climbing stairways, walking and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, crawling, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward, reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

    • Minimum 5 years experience in drafting/design required.
    • Knowledge of multiple drafting and design disciplines: mechanical, electrical, civil, welding, maching, piping, and structural.
    • Knowledge of OSHA general safety practices, Food Safety requirements (FSMA), food handling, process and packaging equipment and systems.
    • Fluent in AutoCAD 3D, with Inventor knowledge a plus.
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MS Windows.
    • Must be self motivated and directed, detail oriented and organized.
    • Must be able to multi task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to travel to satellite facilities as required.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
    • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
