  • Overview





    To assist in coordinating GIS (Geographic Information System) development projects, preform day-to-day GIS operations, provide GIS support, and act as liaison between the business and GIS/MIS. 



    • Maintaining GIS data and databases including: editing spatial data, associating tables, generating reports, and relating GIS data with company business systems.
    • Ensure data integrity throughout all GIS resources including: data collection, storage, and usage.
    • Perform spatial analysis with a variety of data sources related to operations.
    • Develop and manage methods of distributing and displaying spatial data.
    • Compiling mapping projects and delivering finished products to end customer.
    • Assist customers with the use of GIS products and data collection devices.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Business Engagement: A constant working knowledge of what drives the business that is created through nearly constant communication, identifying the decision makers, partnering with our stakeholders, and delivering solutions that drive the business practices of our customers. Play a lead role in planning short and long-term solutions.
    • Liaison between customers and data: Assist the business with process improvement by working with groups and vendors to find new solutions, and maintain an innovative pace with technologies. Organize and provide training classes for the customers.
    • Application Administration: Provide administration for software. Vast understanding of software development, testing, unit acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment to production environment. Help facilitate data integration, manipulation, custom algorithms, and process improvement for software products.




    Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, climbing stairways, walking and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, crawling, stooping, kneeling reaching forward, reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning.

    Additional Info


    • Undergraduate degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Geography, Agriculture Business, or related field preferred.
    • Knowledge of Python, VB, Arcade, and SQL preferred.
    • Advanced skill in ArcGIS Enterprise systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and publish maps, features, and geoprocessing services.
    • Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
    • Capable of translating complex business requirements into software solutions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing).
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
    • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen.
