This position oversees day to day operations of the Grimmway Conference and Fitness Center and provides essential clerical services to the Benefits Department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for opening / closing the Conference and Fitness Center and ensuring that all employees who come through the Fitness Center have received a proper orientation on each piece of equipment and have received an understanding of all rules and guidelines set forth by management. Maintain employee orientation files, equipment repair logs, and injury reports. Coordinate set-up and break-down of conference room equipment for meetings, legal file reviews, farmer’s market and other events at Fitness Center. Maintain inventory of all fitness center and conference room equipment. Report any needed maintenance or service order requests to supervisor in a timely manner. Ensure that the Fitness Center is free of any deficiencies and is ready for quarterly safety inspections. Maintain pool (brushing down the walls daily, checking and adding chlorine tabs as necessary, clean filter and skim). Launder towels as needed. Sanitize fitness machinery regularly. Must be flexible as schedule may change depending on the various seasons. Provide general clerical assistance to the Benefits Department such as general filing, stuffing, folding, and mass mailing of documents as well as other duties assigned by supervisor.
Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, climbing stairways, walking and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, crawling, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward, reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Must have data entry experience. General knowledge of accounting and experience in Microsoft Excel is desired. Must be detail-oriented, have good communication skills (oral and written), and good telephone skills. Must have a professional attitude and organizational skills. Must have the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including general managers, owners, etc. in a professional manner.
Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation. Must pass background check.
