  • Overview



    Responsible for training and supervising assigned sanitation crews, and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, quantity, and cleaning standards are delivered and tracked.





    • Design and develop training programs for food safety orientation, Lock-out Tag-out, Confined Space, Chemical handling, Chemical Dilutions, and Basic Sanitation Cleaning skills.
    • Test and review created materials.
    • Coordinate and conduct department-wide training.
    • Evaluate department needs and also identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
    • Track and report training status to Sanitation Manager.
    • Record keeping of training documentation.
    • Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.
    • Work with Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
    • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials when needed.
    • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.




    Level 1- Occasional: Approved to drive for the company by the Regulatory Compliance Department.




    Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office, and in food processing facilities. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to visually inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as 30° F); must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to work in a wet environment. Must be able to move items weighting up to 75 lbs.

    • Previous experience in food plant is preferred
    • Previous work experience as a training coordinator or similar role is a plus
    • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required along with the ability to communicate effectively with people in a variety of positions, situations and environments
    • Candidate should be self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision at times and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other similar software programs
    • Ability to instruct and lead employees in the performance of their work
    • Must be able to work nights
    • May be required to work on holidays or Saturdays depending on business need
    • Must be bi-lingual, English/Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record
    • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen
