  • Overview



    To ensure and enforce Grimmway quality standards are met. Audit the overall quality of product as it leaves the shipping department and make necessary adjustments to meet company/customer requirements. Conduct all quality assurance responsibilities such as: monitoring pallets of finished goods, product temperatures, Pre-Op inspections, proper pallet labeling, pallet durability checks and customer specifications. Record and identify all quality issues and work with Manager towards root cause analysis.



    • Responsible for conducting quality checks, enforcing customer requirements and temperature of product in the warehouse and docks.
    • Ensure product is not damaged and stacked properly during the loading process.
    • Assess customer complaints and identify risk factors.
    • Complete documentation as assigned.
    • Keep detailed records of product defects or manufacturing issues.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Educate department on customer specifications.
    • Support process improvements for customer compliance processes.
    • Develop and maintain a positive workplace that promotes safety, quality, trust, and teamwork.
    • Lead the implementation of food safety programs and policies for the department.
    • Interact effectively with floor staff to ensure timely implementation of any necessary corrective actions.




    Ability to move in food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or an elevated platforms). Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Ability to visually inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as - 20° F to 28° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighting up to 50 lbs.

    • Must be trainable in quality control testing and job safety on all job duties
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and WMS
    • Strong written / verbal communication skills
    • Forklift experience is a plus
    • Detail oriented and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
    • May be required to work overtime or Saturdays depending on business need
    • Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record
    • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation
