  • Overview



    Perform basic skilled maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.




    • Employee will assist other maintenance personnel fabricate and install systems and devices to improve the facility.
    • Must have the ability to train and demonstrate the proper procedures to employees.
    • Employee must have the ability to rebuild equipment and machinery as directed.
    • Responsible for filling out logs and maintenance records as directed.
    • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.




    Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to move about inside food processing facilities and in the farming fields. Ability to work on and build equipment. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Ability to work outdoors. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighting up to 75 lbs.

    • Minimum 2 year experience in agricultural/automotive/electrical/industrial or manufacturing equipment.
    • Must have knowledge in use of hand tools and power tools (Drills, Saws, Grinders, etc...).
    • Must have basic knowledge of bearings, sprockets, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, belting, and rollers.
    • Must have general computer knowledge in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
    • Must be able to demonstrate a friendly and productive attitude in a highly intensive work environment and show a willingness to support all production activities, as required.
    • Must have good attendance and safety record.
    • Must be able/willing to work Day and/or Night shift, overtime and weekends if needed.
    • Must understand and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Must understand and comply with all company safety policies including lock-out/tag-out procedures and policies.
    • Must be trainable in all aspects of safety as it pertains to the maintenance repair of dangerous, and potentially dangerous machinery.
    • Must demonstrate willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
    • Must be able to understand and communicate verbally and in writing, information in English.
    • Willing to travel to multiple facilities within the division.
    • Must be able to work in the Coachella area for approximately four to six months out of the year during entire winter harvest season. (Housing or housing allowance provided by the company).
    • No vacations (PTO) will be allowed during this time period and excessive unexcused absences will result in either end of assignment or transfer back to home station.
    • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
