  • Overview



    To perform maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.




    • Employee must be able to assist mechanics in obtaining parts.
    • Employee must be able to build equipment, with assistance.
    • Employee must be able to identify parts by nomenclature.
    • Employee must be able to handle minor/major breakdowns without assistance.
    • Employee must be able to gather tools to do a job.
    • Employee will document findings during preventative maintenance.
    • Employee must have the ability to train and demonstrate the various duties of the maintenance technician through level II maintenance.
    • Employee must be able to communicate with co-workers in English.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.




    Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to move about inside food processing facilities and in the farming fields. Ability to work on and build equipment. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Ability to work outdoors. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighting up to 75 lbs.

    • Must pass the Maintenance level II qualification exam and demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of the Maintenance level II.
    • Must be able to demonstrate confident skills with regards to MIG & TIG welding of stainless steel.
    • Must be able to demonstrate a friendly and productive attitude in a highly intensive work environment and show a willingness to support all Production activities as required.
    • Must have good attendance, cannot miss more than 8 unexcused days per calendar year.
    • Employee cannot possess more than 2 written warnings in a continuous 12-month period.
    • Must have good safety record.
    • Must pass Quality Control GMP testing.
    • Must understand and comply with all company safety policies including lock-out/tag-out procedures and policies.
    • Must train on all aspects of safety as it pertains to repairs and maintenance of dangerous and potentially dangerous machinery.
    • Must demonstrate willingness to learn new skills and techniques
    • Must be able to understand and communicate verbally and in writing, information in English.
    • Willing to travel to multiple facilities within the division.
    • Must be able to work in the Coachella area for approximately four to six months out of the year during entire winter harvest season. (Housing or housing allowance provided by the company).
    • No vacations (PTO) will be allowed during this time period and excessive unexcused absences will result in either end of assignment or transfer back to home station.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
    • Must pass pre-placement drug/ alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
