  • Overview

    PURPOSE:

     

    Monitor, Operate and Control different plant equipment in various stages of production as outlined by Production Supervisor.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Start, stop, and monitor equipment operation at various stages of production.
    • Maintain plant equipment running within proper operating limits.
    • Must be able to perform multiple tasks and make quick decisions.
    • May be asked to rotate to a different area of the plant to assist in various aspects of plant operation.
    • Work areas will consist of Pre-Processing, Juice Processing, Evaporation, Drum Fill, Laboratory, and Cold Storage.
    • Practice good housekeeping and maintain a clean work area.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Walking on even and uneven surfaces, sight, hearing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, stooping, climbing, reaching forward, and reaching overhead and below the shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning. Must be able to work in different temperatures. Work in high noise area.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     

     

    • Must have Fork Lift Certification.
    • Must be able to operate two or more of the following equipment; yard truck, forklift, pallet jack, drum filling machine, pail filling machine, evaporator, or UHT pasteurizer.
    • Ability to add, subtract, and multiply whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
    • Must be able to demonstrate a friendly and productive attitude in a highly intensive work environment, and show a willingness to support all Production activities, as required.
    • Must have good attendance and safety record.
    • Must understand and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Must understand and comply with all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and policies.
    • May be required to work overtime or Saturdays depending on business need.
    • Must pass drug and alcohol exams.
