PURPOSE: Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicle, such as tractors and harvesters. Dismantle defective machines for repair, record details of repairs made, and parts used.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Must have the ability to perform p/m services as required. Must be able to perform ARC welding, acetylene torch cutting, brazing, and soldering as required. Must be able to utilize hand, electric and pneumatic tools as necessary per job specifications. Ability to operate and maintain field service truck, following and servicing farm equipment in the field. Ability to operate heavy and light equipment including but not limited to tractors, trucks, pickups, skid steers, loaders and other equipment as needed. Must be able to diagnose and make repairs on diesel & gas engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and on a wide variety of miscellaneous mechanical repairs centered on field-based heavy equipment. Assist co-workers in the shop and in the field. Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times. Must follow directions from Supervisor/Manager. Must be able to clearly fill out job inspection and completion forms to detail in English. Support the shop 5S initiatives. Must follow all required safety procedures and guidelines. Lead by example the Division’s Mission, Strategy, and Values. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to continuously work outdoors all day in various and sometimes extreme weather conditions. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Ability to manipulate small parts. Ability to work on uneven terrain both on foot and while aboard moving equipment. Ability to get on and off various stationary and moving equipment. Must wear corrective lenses if required/listed on driver’s license. Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 75 lbs.

Work in conjunction with principal electrical designers, engineers and project managers to help develop all aspects of a project.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   - Conceptualize plans, details, elevations, and sections, to accurately convey construction or fabrication requirements. - Review and analyze equipment specifications and incorporate into design drawings for proper construction or fabrication. - Work in conjunction with principal electrical designers, engineers and project managers to help develop all aspects of a project. - Read and create Single Line and Three Line Diagrams, including sizing of electrical equipment, conduit and cable. - Read and create Motor Control Schematic diagrams. - Create: Conduit / Cable Schedule Drawings, Electrical Detail Drawings, Electrical Equipment Location and Stub-up Plan Drawings, PLC Panel Layout Drawings, PLC I/O Schematic Drawings, Control System Architecture Drawings, As Built Drawings, Lighting Plans, Grounding Plans. - Prepare designs and specifications for material and equipment required as part of electrical and or instrumentation and controls systems. - Material Procurement and Tracking using inhouse software i.e. Infor. - Interface with engineers and design leads from other disciplines, clients and other disciplines at project meetings and contractors during construction. - Interface with consulting companies as needed to create Electrical Permit Packages. - Estimate job man-hours, schedule accurately and develop installation budgets using in-house estimating software. - Track progress of job from schedule and cost standpoint using inhouse software i.e. Spec Write.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to occasionally move about inside food processing facilities (sometimes in narrow passages, in wet areas, climb ladders on to elevated platforms.) TITLE:                     PLANTING SHOP SUPERVISOR LOCATION:             BAKERSFIELD, CA COMPENSATION:  $64,480 - $75,000 / YEAR     PURPOSE:   To manage Planting Shop employees.      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   - Manage the day to day operation of the Planting Shop Division. - Ensure all fabrication, repairs and maintenance are done properly, completely, and in a timely manner. - Assist personnel involved in fabrication, repairs and maintenance. - Track and submit time and timecards. - Ensure inventory and stock levels for parts and raw supplies are maintained. - Use companies' purchase and/or work order system(s) when purchasing parts or scheduling repairs. - Design and upgrade planting equipment as needed and help the department with diagnostics, trouble shooting and emergency repairs, in both shop and field settings. - Ensure adequate training, supervision, and performance of all planting shop personnel, including "job specific" safety training, is regularly performed, and that all such training is documented. - Maintain a preventative maintenance program for all planting equipment. - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   Ability to occasionally move about inside the office, shop and/or farming fields.
